Principal Duties and Responsibilities

A typical Work Program for a Materials/Biomedical Engineering Co-Operative Education Student in the Biomaterials Group at Zimmer Biomet:
Within the first few weeks of the first term the co-op student’s assignments will include orientation to company procedures, education of laboratory and chemical safety issues, and exposure to design of experiments by aiding in completion and documentation of a validation study.
The remainder of the co-op students first term and subsequent terms will be spent working on projects related to one or more of the following topics:
Metals
Ceramic – Bioactive and structural
Polymers – Non-Resorbable and Resorbable
Composites
Coating Technologies
