Well according to some,we are dealing with "THE CHILEAN LLAMA FARMER LEGAL SYSTEM" that is extremely slow and mostly uncoordinated on several fronts. This leads to a very long time line supported by actions of a very powerful corrupted few that are working very diligently so this story never gets any voluum.
So as long as the water is below this vessel's water line,which it still is,we have some hope that somewhere down the line an action will drive some traction and get this moving down the hill.What we do know is that CMN/Barrick have for the most part written off billions $ against Pascua Lama and have deserted the project announcing they will be back at some point as mole rats wearing Argentina's colors sporting shovels and pickaxes.
With the legal actions in Chile now in the works involving the BCSC et al Barrick Gold Corporation of Canada there would likely need to be some determination as to where Chile wants to go on this sordid mess.
Remember in all this Barrick is a bad actor,very bad, and as such owes may millions to Chile for numerous faults some being criminal fraud.
