True or False.

Would like to expand a bit on what loanranger said in his last post here:

You and I can pretty much make all the false, manipulative statements here that we like.

Never mind what the SEC may or may not try and do regarding "undue influence" on social media sites. What interests me are the "manipulative" statements that loanranger is talking about.

I want to try and distinguish between true and false statements that are posted on this board as well as on all other iHub boards. Can they all be viewed as manipulative? Some examples will illustrate my points.

I assert a true factual statement cannot be manipulative. However, a true factual statement followed by an opinion can be manipulative. For example, if I say "SIGO has not filed a 10-K report in almost one year". Then that is a true and non-manipulative statement. However, if I say "SIGO has not filed …. And therefore, SIGO share price is going to crash soon.", that would be manipulative imo.

However, if I make a provably false statement or a statement that cannot be proven to be true, then those type of statements would be manipulative no matter what the context. Here are a couple of fairly obvious examples: "SIGO is making lots of money from its operations and can, therefore, pay off the Fife loan in cash". - not provable and therefore manipulative. Also something like "Fife will receive millions of SIGO shares to satisfy his loan." - also not provable and therefore manipulative.

Unfortunately, it seems to me that almost 100% of the posts on this board and most other iHub boards are intended to be manipulative in one way or another. Hence EVERY reader on iHub must be aware of what they are reading and decide for themselves what is true (or at least based on facts) and what is not true (or just "hype" or "wild speculation"). Otherwise, iHub boards are just totally useless and/or misleading.

All is just my own opinion.
