IMO...Conclusions as of 03Sep2018:

1) Bonderman sat on the WMI BOD from 1997-2002, and again in 2008 when TPG lead a group which infused $7.5 billion into WMI in April 2008. Carefully look at the increase in MBS certificate participation from 1996 to 1997. It rose by almost three times from $5.645 billion to $16.054 billion. It was no coincidence that Bonderman was so aggressive in wanting to buy WMI in April 2008. He knew the value of all the certificate participation through securitized loans in MBS Tursts created by WMI Subsidiaries.

2) WMI securitized $1.616 trillion loans in MBS Trusts. If we assume that 1992 (FDIC website's earliest data) was the first year for Certificate Participation in MBS Trusts created by WMI Subsidiaries, then the overall certificate participation in MBS Trusts since 1992 is 26.24%


3) WMI securitized $692 billion loans in MBS Trusts from 2000 to 2008. The certificate participation in MBS Trusts from 2000 to 2008 is 43.80%


I wouldn't believe these numbers if someone told me...but take a look for yourselves and draw your own conclusions!
