Well, for crying out loud,
the author unashamedly is playing to a helpless slavering audience that he damn well knows the majority of which these days are trying to watch what they eat otherwise they wouldn't be pandering to their inner desire to pig out by reading about food.
Juicy Italian sausage bound with melted Fontina cheese is all packed into a pressed sandwich with sautéed onions, fennel, and red peppers and stopped with a rich and tangy sun-dried tomato and caper relish to balance out the fat. This is one hell of a sandwich.
That's one hell of a descriptive sentence.
I enjoyed/hated your previous post as well on Classic sammich Recipes, just the term cuban(cubano) is enough to elicit uncontrollable drooling and stomach rumblings from me. I'd happily eat any and all of those sandwiches...right now.
