If dumpage ends and we get a 3M share buyer, the stock will absolutely rally and create a trend.



That's not my point, my point is the stock will go up or down based on the news or reports. The technical terms such as "downtrend" or "uptrend" are just fancy words for that. And you are better off without it. You acted as if the Technical Indicators will give you the right signal to react before the news or reports are published. It doesn't, it's actually the other way around. That's why it is useless.
