Mochita's patents are, I believe, for Epadel which contains 2% DHA
Amarins patents for composition and method of use with Vascepa is for a product devoid of DHA .

That is, I believe , why Amarin could get the patents in the first place . I don't think they need Mochita except for reasons you mentioned .
