There is no excuse for crappy communications, regardless of circumstances. Some companies communicate well and some communicate badly. Officers of a public company have an obligation as well as a need to to communicate. Some companies take a very conservative approach and only report "material" news but the savvier management teams know the minimum is not enough and, more importantly, is not in their interest. So the task becomes more complicated but is manageable. Bottom line is that TGD communicates badly (and the awful new website and badly worded press releases are symptoms of this). The 6 or 7 investor relations firms he has gone through in the last 2-3 years can't all be incompetent and giving bad advice. Feel free to draw your own conclusions.
