: Engineer discovers UI for Facebook's rumored Aloha AI assistant, TNW reports
Facebook (FB) is reportedly developing an Amazon (AMZN) Echo and Google (GOOG, GOOGL) Home competitor, codenamed Aloha, which would pair a video chat service with an artificial intelligence assistant, The Next Web reports, citing a feature discovered by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong in the standard Android Facebook Messenger app. The only thing that currently works is the user interface along with some rudimentary speech-to-text recognition and Manchun Wong hypothesized that the assistant's full features are only available to those who can authenticate with a Facebook employee account.
