kiwi- I think the issue is not with your general idea but that the terms "not conclusive" and " not convincing" are equivalent.

If I have a coin that I flip 20 times and it comes up heads 19 I would say it 's not conclusive that it's a rigged coin, but I would say it's pretty convincing.

Something could be not conclusive but still very believable.
