I've seen pics of drilling rigs which have 8 legs and are called octopus or octopi and can move themselves by raising 4 legs at a time and extending such
i'm afraid i missed whatever joke is referenced by der kracken,unless it means giant slayer,as in one who has a much higher view of the battlefield,which will soon become clear

i did look at many google pics of israel near the site but the resolution for security reasons made it impossible to even see the rig or site except as a blur

re the mythological creature tisdal i didnt realize that but i understand-running low on posts
see below how close west bank mtns are from N of the kibbutz - zn rig is S of kibbutz-closer to said mtns- and see the many foothills settlements-which told me much more distant mtns in another pic were jordanian,w the river intervening but of course unseen
