Note that the above recommendations were made in 2012. Also note the inclusion of McGill Center, which keeps popping up in Anavex documentation.

Concluding paragraph from the above:



The practical message is that structural imaging is not required in all (although will be indicated in most) persons with cognitive impairment. Although more costly and less available, MRI is preferable to CT. Where available, PET-18FDG and/or PET amyloid imaging can be used for clinical purpose in patients with atypical dementias.



It seems to me that Single Payer countries adapt more readily to sea change in medical care.

It also seems that Anavex, a company that some seek to portray as a "scam", is heavily involved with the top researchers in the field.
