Properly, It Is “Altzheimer’s” In Pronunciation

The disease is named for it’s descriptor, Dr. Alois Alzheimer, a German physician.

In German, the letter “z” is not pronounced “zuh;” rather, properly, it’s “tz.”

Phonetically, it’s properly pronounced “ALTZ-high-mers.”
