when you run the numbers on men (and women) who stay in horrible abusive relationships, it's more than most will admit or acknowledge. Maybe a few do it on a calculated risk that there is some tremendous upside to the relationship they haven't realized yet. I'd bet 95% are just too lazy and undisciplined to make the tough choice to leave and start over. In this case, that number is reversed. 95% are taking a minor calculated risk without emotion... that there is some tremendous upside to the relationship they haven't realized yet.
