I remember it being more conservative on cash usage than AIM. Like so many tests of investment systems the longer the test periods with the most diverse price activity the better the test.

After 30 years of AIM usage I'm convinced that TIME is possibly the most important element of any investment. This is true of Buy & Hold as well as more complex systems. As Mr. Hawkings discussed during his life we're stuck in a universe of linear time, so the future is unknown to us. Trends, momentum and other technical analysis bridge toward our understanding not of where the markets are going but of current investment sentiment. Generally the better we understand current market psychology the better the probability our guess about the future will be. But the future is still unknown.

I've worked to develop reasonable market psychology measures but still feel a robust systematic investment model helps overall. Combining them is still an art form.
