Doc, Will you explain why you characterise Woodford's action as going rogue?

As I understood it he invested very heavily in NWBO and shortly afterwards Phase 5 (whoever they were/are) accused management of being crooks etc, something that Woodford and his team had not presumably picked up on in their DD. He unsurprisingly wanted assurances that everything was above board in management and when this was not forthcoming he asked for his own appointee to be placed on the board to investigate the alleged criminality. Linda Powers refused and, instead, appointed Cofer Black (if I recall correctly) to do the same thing (and from whom there has been a deafening silence ever since).

So, have I missed something that I shouldn't have and if not, what part of Woodford's behaviour could be described as "rogue"?
