Maybe I missed it but did the survivors mention if they had a stake in NWBO? That should've been fully disclosed.

Of course they have a stake in NWBO. They wouldn't want anything to disrupt their 6 monthly injections. They have a passionate interest in others being able to receive what they did. So yes they have a huge personal and emotional stake in DCVax. It gave them or their family member their life back. It was very evident, didn't you think?

Or did you mean a purely financial interest (as in share ownership?)

That would be very unusual. Whenever I have seen or heard a patient testimony for any treatment, I don't think I have ever heard a disclosure of that nature.

(Brad, as an employee, of course does have a financial stake.)

Also I note Powers thanked a lot of people but not her shareholders. Shareholders appear to be nothing but pressure pains to her. Meanwhile as Ex pointed out she has adjusted her holdings quite nicely so a little move makes her a fortune.

If that is the case that it doesn't concern me. She has on many occasions thanked shareholders for their support. As she said, the presentation was about the science. And the interests of the company and the patients and the shareholders are all aligned anyway. So if they unblind too early and fail to receive approval as a result, then shareholders will suffer greatly.

At the end she was asking for investment but never mentioned Woodford as a major holder.

She was asking for funding, technical support, and help in spreading the word. I certainly wouldn't have expected her to name a current investor by name, in a scientific presentation.

Regarding the unwillingness to unblind, I find her argument unconvincing. This late in the game there's just no way that all participating do not know who is receiving the vaccine. Surely the trial could continue unblinded while still extracting data.

If you aren't convinced by now, then there is no point in me saying anything on that score.
Except that you cannot quantify the size of the longtail and include it in your data submission in support of approval, if you have already unblinded. The long tail survival will be the clincher if we do receive approval.

Otherwise, just go with Optune...
