It’s perfectly reasonable that UTOP does not need the physical inventory of the phones on their balance sheets. They could have negotiated contracts with the manufactures and distribution network and serve as the software developers and factory to consumer liaison. So people complaining about them not having the actual phones stacked up in some warehouse need a 2018 reality check.
