Surprisingly, I received a response from Ivan Madera of Morf3D. Unsurprisingly, it doesn't really tell us what happened, but the message seems clear enough. He said ...

While we don’t disclose certain aspects of our strategy, I will say that Sigma Labs in no longer part of our long term outlook.

I forwarded it to John Rice & Mark Cola for comment, but I don't expect to get anything back.

Thanks again for all your dd but it was shocking to me that sglb had so few printrite 3d units to install that they had to take it from morf3d and use it somewhere else and that they didn't have the time to install it at morf3d who was in talks with the one of the largest aerospace companies in the world to 3d print boeing parts. I am sure they were busy selling stuff, oh wait they haven't sold anything. That short flight to El Segundo from Santa Fe may interrupt their golf. Hopefully John Rice has fixed this because you cannot be successful if you need to take back your software/hardware from a huge potential customer to give to another. I think they have diluted and raised enough money to do this and if they don't have enough money to actually produce the printrite3d units with this past dilution JR needs to reduce salaries to some of these guys in order to purchase their off the shelf hardware.

Just curious has anyone ever looked up how much it costs for the sensors that they purchase? I know our bread and butter is with the algorithm and software but just curious how much these photodiode and cameras cost?

They only have a few customers to support, you could literally drive to California in a day for the install, this is not acceptable and maybe this is why companies have waited and looked elsewhere.
