We have news, but I don't consider it good news. I look at it as a report card on PN our COB, CEO and CFO. I would say the grade for PN is a D at best.
Digging down into the numbers you see that there are only 30 present institutional investors. One is University of Texas and another has two shares. 11 institutional shareholders increased their number of shares by a sum of 154,724. Unfortunately 15 institutional shareholders decreased their holdings by a total of 395,032 shares. At the present there is 1,070,191 institutionally owned shares. Of this amount 383,088 shares are owned by the University of Texas, leaving 687,103 shares owned by the institutional investment community. This results in a 6% nonrelated institutional ownership. NOT GOOD! How do you expect to raise money without any institutional support?
BPTH lost 11 institutional investors holding 291,382 shares. We gained three new institutional investors who purchased a total of 7,472 shares. We have one additional possible new institutional investor who purchased two shares. I can't believe any institutional investor would buy two shares so I assume this is some type of accounting error.
If you look at the list you'll see only 12 of the institutional investors hold over 10,000 shares each. The remaining 18 hold less than 50,000 shares in total. I suspect many of the Ihub members would be in the top 10 of ownership if they were institutions and some may be in the top five. Certainly some will also hold more shares than the bottom 18 institutional investors combined.
This report highlights another poor performance by our unholy Trinity, grand poo bah. I guess this is the problem when you have a company being run by fiat. What institution would invest in a company with one person operating as the CEO, CFO and COB?
Many investors follow the "smart money". In our case, our resident expert Gary, one of the few people that made substantial money in the stock, suggests we get out. Institutional investors who are also considered to be "smart money" have left in droves. Contrary to the "smart money" is me who has made zero money on this stock and continues to make small purchases. I guess that says it all!
