I am happy to report that the wired keyboard from Amazon arrived late yesterday. I plugged it in and it worked. (WalMart did not have a wired keyboard!)
I then checked out the new wireless keyboard that I bought at WalMart and it also works.
But the old logitech wireless keyboard that started the problem does not work. So it is trashed.

But something else went crazy. All my automatic logins are gone including gmail and I had to enter my password to access my mail. Same with I-Hub.

But I'm glad to be back on the old desktop again.
