Exactly right. It seems that in addition to the research paper that you forwarded here additional different sourced more detailed recent 2018 studies show the same links/connects to CNS diseases. Among the positive comments on AVXL work is the fact that none of these papers nor the noted experts who comment here have any contradictions been shown. In contrast one can quickly find contradictions to the Amyloid hypothesis. My own claim is that no contradictions is a clue to BTD possibilities.
