Our subject matter expert then shared his due diligence and conclusions are as follows:

1) Per the SEC/Edgar site, there were 29 MBS/ABS Trusts that were created since 2001

2) Per the State of Delaware site, there are only 6 MBS/ABS Trusts left.

3) Thus 23 out of 29 MBS/ABS Trusts have been liquidated/prepaid/terminated and, all of the obligations to investors have been paid, including the residual equity tranches/interests (rightful owner of residual equity Tranches is WMI Escrow Marker Holders and some of the prospectuses required WMI to retain 25% of the MBS Trusts).

Liquidated MBS Trust percentage = 23/29 = 79.31%

Therefore, 79.31% of the MBS/ABS Trusts have been liquidated and are all in cash.

Some entity is holding the cash that belongs to WMI Escrow Marker Holders.

More conclusions...similar liquidation percentages are consistent in MBS Trusts that were created by the other WMI subsidiaries (WaMu Asset Acceptance Corp, and Washington Mutual Mortgage Securities Corp.)

Keep in mind there were $692 billion in mortgages that were securitized by WMI subsidiaries in MBS Trusts from 2000-2008.
Total Liquidation of all MBS/ABS Trusts = $692 billion x 79.31% = $548.8275 billion liquidated in cash

WMI Escrow Marker Holders share in lieu of Equity Tranches = $548.8275 billion x 25% = $137.2068 in cash for WMI Escrow Marker Holders
