Cass, I am a certified Aircraft and Powerplant mechanic and though I haven't worked in that line of work in 25 years or so, we had to purchase even the simpliest of parts from "Certified" suppliers. They were certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. If APS is selling or installing Avionics to the aircraft industry (which the digEplayer is not an Avionics product) then they would have to be a certified avionics shop. Certified by the FAA, or even if they had a certified avionics technician on their payroll he/she would be certified to work on or repair. I doubt this helps you much but I am sure that the FAA would be the place to start if researching any certification concerning the airline industry. Let us know what you find out.
