Agreed. So when I called they told me because it was tagged caveat emptor and there were risk associated with the security I was unable to make the purchase. So no setting in the account but here’s the kicker - they don’t prevent the sell - which I stupidly did - sold half my holding after about 4 years and had instant regret - went to go buy it back and was blocked - tried repeatedly then finally realized what happened. Opened a TD Ameritrade account and called about a wire - told the rep my story and he couldn’t believe that was Fidelity’s practice. Needless to say I won’t be running money through that brokerage anymore. Wack sauce. It’s really not right they should warn of the risk and once I’m aware of it they have fulfilled their fiduciary duty and I should be able to make my own decision thereafter. Seriously most of the OTC bears the stop sign.
