Agreed. However, the Canadian government and other legal experts believe they will prevail on oral fluid challenges. It appears to me that Canada has taken a firm position on DUID similar to Australia and some european countries. Canada also has the US to thank for nearly 30 states using oral fluid in some capacity.

Dr. Huestis may have played a big part in Canada's new laws for both oral fluid and breathalyzer technology. The 2 hour window for breath to blood fits directly into Cannabix hands (Hound Labs tech may not fit precisely into 2 hour window). The court challenge for BLO will be proving the coorelation of breath to blood (Blood Marijuana Content (BMC)) like Alcohol (BAC).

Both Oral and Breath will likely see challenges, and I suspect they both will survive. IMO, oral fluid currently has the track record advantage, but I cannot see a swab process ultimately outperforming a breathalyzer in many respects - contamination being one of them. The Drager unit appears to have all the various drugs the government currently wants to test at roadside. That is another tech challenge for BLO to overcome.

I only gave the recent news a once over. I could be dead wrong in my observations, but as always, their simply opinions, and we all have them. Peace
