Getaround2it - You are right on the count, I accidentally counted January 2018 in making the calculation of June 26th, when the count should have begun with February.
So that pushes the deadline with the FCC out to July as you noted.
Meanwhile this week should see the completion of the Time Warner deal, adding more certainty for AT&T. Hopefully then that will move the gears forward.
I'm still trying to understand what could be causing the FCC delay in completing their paperwork on the circulated decision - usually they vote on these sort of items much sooner than this is taking. Could there be some political pressures working the phones in the commissioner's offices on the 8th floor???
They have to reach a majority decision - so who could be holding out and what do they want? Or is the FCC just inefficient and overloaded. I think there is some item the commissioners are fighting about, but not sure what it might be. It might involve some sort of concession (off the record) to be done by AT&T?
Only Vuletini knows for sure!
Transaction consummation is the key, no doubt, and tied in a practical sense if not otherwise with the Time Warner documents getting completed and the FCC majority vote.
Thanks for catching the mistake on that June 26 calculation.
