I work in the (local) TV news biz, so I can offer an opinion. First off, no local TV news station is going to touch this. They do fires and bank robberies. This is too complex, and too niche, a story.
One would consider trying to alert the financial media, like CNBC, Bloomberg, etc. Go to the website of whatever news outlet you choose, and look for a contact webpage. Send an "email" (you'll most likely be filling out a "form") asking why they're not covering this important issue, sure to affect millions of cable subscribers, internet users, whatever you wish. Just try to offer persuasive reasons for news coverage. Consider following up with a phone call, if you can get a newsroom number.
One reason an outlet might decline to cover the story is the difficulty of getting anyone officially associated with the lawsuit to go on-record. Folks are notoriously shy to discuss ongoing litigation.
Nevertheless, if you can make a good case of the lawsuit's newsworthiness, you might drive some coverage.
