We can get a judgment, but collecting will be difficult.Plus, the damages will be limited to prior US sales. As a practical matter, the Chinese companies engaging in infringement and doing business in the USA will certainly have some decisions to make regarding licensing. The ITC is waffling as usual. The sanctions are not good for IDCC, but it could work out if Zte decides to enter a world wide license as some sort of proof that are being good boys in order to get the sanctions lifted.
