MaxD can try and ‘announce’ a short squeeze but they can’t actually cause one, and clearly didn’t. They did though manage to generate attention and some enthusiasm, and dump some stock. And the shocking announcement was a distraction diverting attention from bad news. Maybe that was the plan all along.
