I'm thinking they have shorted it down, maintaining pressure all along (and not covering) in hopes of driving them into bankruptcy. They have continued to double down (at much lower costs) to keep that pressure on and achieve their end objective, which would result in them never having to cover. I believe they miscalculated on this one and are in over their head and will not be able to cover the number of shares they need to without the price rising significantly. The other objective they probably had was to increase the outstanding shares, making it easier to cover the number they need to cover. The have achieved that objective, so they probably will be able to cover without losing their skin. But there again, I believe they underestimated the holding power of those like myself who will not give them shares any time soon.
