You need to read the memo, it's mostly salaried positions which will have zero impact on production of Model 3.

In fact, they are still hiring production workers.

I'm not sure how much the layoffs were to try to show a profit, and stop the bleeding, ... or to postpone a capital raise?

.. but it should have no real impact on Model 3 production, which remains a priority.

It may however delay some of the nonsense projects similar to the flamethrower thats not a flamethrower.

"Lol, laying off 9%. Must really be in a pinch. Cant even get the cars built with the 9% still there. Makes a lot of sense that they will get the cars built with the remaining 91%. That is true comedy.
