That is about time with Alonso. Smith is such another SA bust. But here's the problem Conforto has been and unmitigated disaster, he literally has. So my question to conforto is what is he? if the answer is he is nowhere as good as I thought, then we got a real problem. Rosario has not exactly been very impressive so far, his defense has been shakey, and so has been his offense very up and down, I get he is young and he has shown flashes but the same could be said for all the yankee guys that come up and look like stars. and Rosario looks like a huge ?. Nimmo looks like the best player out of the three. But the ML are weak right now, there are 4 prospects that are really worth while talking about in the farm system
1) Gimenez- doing decently in high A considering his age, heck of a sb guy, and draws walks, so all of that is a positive, but he in still 2020 or later.
2) Peterson-Last years 1rst rounder pitching great and looks like he will come quick, but we are talking mid 2020 at the earliest.
3) Dunn- Not as sold on him but his first start in bighaptom went went he could make a move late 2019 if all goes well.
4) Alonso- Who I get not rushing, but he is the one guy who could be on the roster in 2019, My guess is the mets don't bring him up this year are super cheap, should win the job in 2019, but they make him wait a couple of months before the bring him up. So if this is to get him some triple A at bats first I'm all for it, but if he is pounding triple A pitching can we see him in 2018, I don't want this excuse we need another year of eligibility I'm tired of this big market not well run franchise running there organization like a bunch of idiots. My gm couldn't draft if he tried. He should be fired. His FA decision continue to backfire. Players get injured at a absurd rate in ny mets land. Change the training staff, change the players and we get the same results. he hired a moron for a manager who might be the worst manager I have ever seen yes he is that bad. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
