Believe what you want.
I believe ATT will not be selling the SkiQ by 6-18, as has been promoted on here based on a chat where no substantive questions were asked. As can be seen from the first rep, who knew they were making stuff up so they disconnected when pressed, it's easy to fall into a trap of hearing only what you want to hear and ignoring all of the signs.
All should do their own chats and ask the detailed questions.
After reading this, who still thinks ATT will be selling SkiQ by next week??????

AT&T: Hello and welcome to AT&T! I'd be happy to assist you in setting up services. To get started, can you please provide me with your name & the complete address where you would like to connect service?
Oscar: Hi! my name is Oscar. I'm happy to help. Can I have your name, please?
Me: Hi. Not sure if I have reached the correct department, but I have heard from a friend that ATT will start selling a 5G Super Router, I believe it's called SkiQ, by June 18, 2018. I want to become and ATT customer and purchase this router. Can you assist with this?
Oscar: Sure, no worries!
Oscar: We will be more than happy to help you setting up your new service with this amazing router1
Me: Oh good, so you will be selling the SkiQ now?
Me: How much is it and how do I get it?
Oscar: Yes, but let me tell you how this will work.
Oscar: Actually, it will be for free when we set up new service and we will need to write down a note in the third step of the check out so the tech will bring it to your home. How does it sound?
Me: Well that's fine, but I need to confirm we are talking about the correct equipment.
Me: What router are you referencing?
Oscar: Yes, we are speaking about the 5G Super Router SkiQ!
Oscar: So let's go ahead and check if we have coverage in your area!
Me: Wow, cool. Is it listed on the ATT site? I can't find it.
Oscar: To ensure I recommend the right solution, I'd like to ask you a few questions to better understand your needs.
Oscar: May I have your street address & zip code where you would like to establish the service please?
Me: You're moving a bit fast for me. Let's slow down a minute.
Oscar: No worries.
Oscar: It is just to check the Internet service availability.
Me: I want to confirm the product first as I do not find it anywhere listed on the ATT site. Do you have a link to provide product information and a picture so I know we are talking about the correct router? I
Oscar: No worries, I understand you want to take a look at the router itself.
Me: Yes, and/or can you provide me with details of this product in terms of how it works or what it does? Again, I can't find anything on the ATT site.
Oscar: I know the router and we have received a training on it. So far, we will need to tell you how to set it up in the installation date as I acknowledge it for you before.
Oscar: I understand you aren't ale to find it on the website as it isn't available there yet;however, we can also order it with the installation date.
Oscar: What are your concerns?
Me: It is 5G so is it compatible with current operating systems? I heard there are no 5G networks that it will work with yet so I'm really trying to know what product we are talking about here.
Oscar: Gotha.
Me: You received training with the SkiQ? So, you have actually held the product and seen how it operates?
Oscar: To be honest with you, we can definitely answer your questions about it. Perhaps, if you have questions about hoe it operates, we can talk to our Specialized technical department to solve any concerns you may have about it before you purchase it,
Oscar: I hope you understand you have many general questions about it and I hope you understand I am a sales agent for new customers and your concerns might be better solved by our Technical dept.
Me: Ok, but you said you had training on it so I am simply asking if you have held the product and seen how it operates?
Oscar: Training on it doesn't need to held the product in your hands to be honest with you.
Me: Is the SkiQ made by a company called TriCascade or a different company?
Oscar: Please allow me a moment to double check that for you.

Me: I can't find the SkiQ anywhere on the ATT site so I need to make sure it is the same router I am looking for.

Me: My friend lies a lot and makes unsubstantiated claims all the time so I need to do my own research instead of just believing him.

Me: I didn't think Oscar knew what he was talking about and I think he disconnected when I kept asking him questions.

Me: Do you think a Manager or someone in another department would know about this product or if you can't find anything about it on the intranet it means there is nothing more at this time? I assume if it was going to be available by next week you would be able to find something about it, right?

Elkin: thank you so much for your time, I have spoken with my sup and unfortunately we are unable to confirm this information, we know there have been talks even on twitter about it but AT&T hasn't officially announce this upgrade on our services, we have also notices that there are rumors about a test, that this router will be implemented on certain areas to test it our first but we are unable to confirm that as well unfortunately
Me: Thank you very much. It looks like you are able to see the same things I can see on social media and the like with no actual proof that ATT will be selling or using this product. I'll just wait and hope it will happen. Maybe my friend had a chat with Oscar, and he just fell for what was said to start with and didn't ask the right questions...I'll let him know the bad news.
