Commission increased $5.95 per trade. Ameritrade increased my commission rate on Wednesday of last week with no notice to more than twice what I have paid for the last 20 years. They responded to my inquiry and said it was a "Trading Activity Fee (TAF)" required by FINRA to help recover their costs. Has anyone else been saddled with this ridiculous charge, and does anyone know if all brokerage houses are participating in this ripoff? tia
