Call me a CONSPIRACY NUT, but the "chain of events" are suspicious....... 1. Ortega announces that he wants a Canal and many Nicaraguans hit the streets protesting that the environment will be damaged and do not want construction..........2. Ortega has several Environmental Plans and studies done but are still dismissed by many Nicaraguans and protests continue.......3. Ortega announces that Social Security pension benefits will be CUT and Nicaraguans MUST PAY MORE INTO THE PENSION FUND to maintain it.......4. Nicaraguans take to the streets and PROTEST THE INCREASE IN PAYMENTS TO THE FUND AND THE DECREASE IN PAYMENTS FROM THE FUND IN RETIREMENT......ORTEGA NOW HAS A MANDATE FOR THE CANAL!!!!!!!!! He can simply tell Nicaraguans that Nicaragua is one of the poorest nations on planet earth. The SOCIAL SECURITY PENSION can not continue to pay out as it has and a DECREASE IN BENEFITS must occur.......We see how Nicaraguans react to a DECREASE in benefits.....RIOTS, DEATHS, ETC. Ortega can now put this to a vote...VERY DEMOCRATIC......He will not look like a dictator......he may even become more popular....He can simply let the people vote.... DO YOU WANT LESS SOCIAL SECURITY AND INCREASED TAXES ( to support the economic system ) or do you want a Canal which would DECREASE TAXES, INCREASE SOCIAL SECURITY PENSIONS, AND CREATE JOBS? Please take note: the People "PROTESTED THE CANAL" but the People "RIOTED A TAX INCREASE AND A BENEFIT DECREASE"...... Now we know how they will vote!
