I’m not real sure how much hotter it gets, but we’ve all driven in our car on a hot day with the windows up, feels like you’re getting baked, and not in the good way. The climate is pretty mild in Salinas, there will be some warm days this summer, but mostly in the mid 70’s, humidity can be brutal though, add in the moisture the plants give off and it will feel like the jungle.

The a/c units effectiveness is questionable in that environment, a/c only works with the greenhouse closed. They have large fans at the end of the greenhouse to bring in fresh air, with those running you wouldn’t use the a/c anyway, and I believe the roof opens automatically with the sensor push system they installed. Not positive about that though.

Pot grows just fine between 80 and 85 degrees so it may not be too much of an issue. Dryer is better though, too moisture will lead to rot and mold, and they get a constant moist breeze from the ocean.
