I disagree it is flag at all. I have seem small companies with much higher PERCENTAGES of short interest. If the OS is 160 million shares, then 1 million shorts this represents less than 1/2 of 1%. In small cap world with legitimate companies short ownership can be in the 20% or higher range which would concern me. Compare Call vs Put Options. You could conclude many more people think this stock is going up rather than down. The price manipulation we have seen has been more due to naked shorting, day trading and the spreading of misleading information about the company causing overdone selling. Green Flags everywhere as the misbehavior is trumped by growing awareness, expansion of enterprise agreements and genuine buying interest (long interest vs. short interest). This is no flag at all, imo.
