Aurora Cannabis Holds Majority Share in Hempco Food and Fiber

08:02 AM EDT, 06/04/2018 (MT Newswires) -- Aurora Cannabis (ACB.TO) -- a licensed producer of medical cannabis -- at last look shed less than 1.0% to $8.06 apiece (leaving it about midway in a 52-week range of $1.90 to 15.20) as it announced over the weekend that it subscribed for near 10.6 million units in Hempco Food and Fiber (HEMP.V) at $0.3075 per common share and one share purchase warrant at $0.41 apiece.

The company bought the units for near $3.25 million, pursuant to an Amended and Restated Private Placement Subscription Agreement dated September 15, 2017.

Aurora has also entered into a Call Option Agreement with Charles Holmes and Angela Holmes, that allows it to purchase up to near 10.8 million shares in the share capital of the Reporting Issuer from the Founders in equal amounts. The acquiror holds 31.9 million common shares in the share capital of the Reporting issuer, representing 52.7% of the 60.5 million issued and outstanding common shares in the share capital of the Reporting Issuer.
