Days, Months, Years, Decades

Yes, many periods like the one were in now. My first purchase was in 2009, right after the Wall Street Journal award (.08). I've watched it fall ever since then. Bought many more times over the years, and sold into the spikes as well.In fact I sold some into the most recent spike, which left me profitable, with a few million shares left over at an effective cost basis of zero.

The big difference now, is it seems that the company is finally going to become profitable. So I have fewer shares than I did a month ago, but I'm OK with that. Will I come to regret it? hopefully (that will mean the price really took off, and all the hype came true).

My thing about market makers is that while they exert control on stocks like this, they only do so because the market forces allow it. In other words there simply isn't enough interest yet to over power them. Like in the essay I posted earlier, all we can do is buy and hold. The MM's need the volatility to do their thing. When it slows down like now, they are left fighting against each other to see who can cover at the lowest price. If they can push some of the weaker hands off the cliff they will.

I've been waiting this long, not that it was smart to have my money tied up for so long in a stock that was going down, I can wait a little longer.
