So perhaps the industry will have to shift back to the old, hippie, organic, N. Ca, labor intensive, grower model..That'd be fine with me.

Its not possible imo, cause like you said margins are shrinking and its going to get tighter. If they could, they would not be lying about being organic now.

As i posted earlier, you can grow small scale organically (with a watchful eye/extra labor), but the game changes when you try to grow big. Its tough to monitor a $5,000,000 crop

I see the sector being entirely indoor in the future, with facilities that are setup like drug manufacturers. These growers will buy the top of the line equipment because they know they make their money back long term, which is not how a small mom and pop grower thinks. They need to make money THAT YEAR to survive.

Buy GRO3 once and never worry again.
