Mets placed RHP Noah Syndergaard on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 26, with a strained ligament in his right index finger. The injury was confirmed after Syndergaard was examined at The Hospital for Special Surgery complaining of soreness in the finger. The severity of the issue is unclear and there's no word yet on how much time he might miss, but it's another blow for a team which has faded considerably from an 11-1 start. The rotation is very shaky beyond ace Jacob deGrom. Syndergaard was lined up to start Wednesday, so the Mets will quickly have to settle on a replacement. May 29 - 1:29 PM
