"The stock valuations in the K will not be good or accurate in terms of reflecting recent activity."

They aren't good or accurate in terms of reflecting recent activity in a 10-Q either. There's either a 45 (or 50) day delay or a 90 (or 105) day delay. Basically it's the same delay one will get if they want to know the lip goop revenues or the cash balance.
The fact that this thing is being run like a mutual fund should actually act to benefit shareholders, who can simply look to public information for share prices and be in a position to assess those investments on a real time basis...something they can't do with lip goop sales or for that matter any other public company they might be invested in. BUT there is an underlying assumption and that is that investors are being apprised of any new trades executed since the last financial report, something that they can't depend on. They can't know whether there were changes in existing holdings or acquisitions of new holdings.

If you like a crapshoot you're in the right place.

Edit: I should have said "If an investor likes a crapshoot they're in the right place". An investor or an insider who is privy to those portfolio changes in real time obviously has an advantage.
Actually that raises an interesting issue. This CEO has personal holdings in some of the same companies that he has bought shares in on behalf of the company, doesn't he? I hope not. He would know whether one or the other account was selling (or buying) shares, wouldn't he? Isn't that a potential conflict? If he knew head of time that TAUG was going to sell its position do you think he would hold onto his own?

But can it core A apple?
Yes Ralph, of course it can core A apple.
