will they trade on a new ticker or continue trading on this ticker?

once it's revoked the ticker is up for grabs and another company can use it if they wish. once it's revoked your brokerage will change the listing from a ticker to a cusip #. if the company has to come back with a new ticker it will still have the same cusip and your brokerage would make the change automatically.
