Look at it this way DJ.
Assuming the company was working on financials. The company's sec attorney and/or auditor would be in contact with the sec. questions always arise so I think that would be a fair assessment.
Now, if the company address on file with finra/sec is not current we are going to have an issue regardless of any sec contact we may be having. These letters are generated throughout their system and forwarded to the respective filer or in this case non-filer. The system is waiting for a response. When no response is given by an allotted time, the system updates to reflect the next scenario which is upon us.
My assumption and it is strictly mine, is that the company responds within the suspension timeframe and is in contact with their previous connection at the the sec to help in this review process and expedite the reinstatement with updated filings.
