Many companies were delisted from AMEX, NASDAQ and NYSE after the stock market crash in 2008 for failure to maintain minimum $1 pps. Shorts had a lot to do with that. They have found a home on the OTCQB. In many cases their PPS has recovered quite well and they are content on the OTC. As you said there are some worth hundreds of dollars per share.
