th6565,

I am always wondering myself whether LWLG finally has controls of photons speed inside its polymers molecules?

Electrons, in direct current, flow inside and on the surface of the copper or aluminum or whatever conductor in an “electron sea” or “flow” at a very slow pace, taking minutes to travel a fraction of an inch. In AC, the electrons wiggle back and forth at, in North America, 60Hz, changing direction 120-times/second. It is electrical energy (electromagnetic waves, which are more accurately voltage-magnetic) that flow outside above the metal surface of the metal conductors...

I am just trying to answer the gentleman but it's nearly impossible to talk to electrical engineers, like my son, who are so weird they think imaginary numbers are real.

Geezus.

The oft-stated claim that electricity is the flow of electrons is embarrassingly naive and inaccurate myth. That’s Bill Nye-speak.

It just gets worse and worser.

Electrons, if such a physical material entity exists...

I give up.

It must be a bed of roses to be a photonics engineer compared to that electrical engineering stuff since we know photons are just nothing unless they materialize and burn holes in people and everything else.

It's only hell for photonic programmers but they are weird anyway and deserve it.

The answer is photons control themselves and it's best not to get in their way.

See how simple it is - and fun too if you let somebody else get burned up. smile

Best, Terry
