R59- Holding into earnings
Re, I am the only one on the board that did an extensive study a few years ago(I believe in 2014). I had 120 russell 2000 stocks randomly picked, and went back 8 earnings reports for each. That two year period was a perpetually strong bull market, and the results were almost exactly 50/50. I myself over the years have actually been negative overall holding into earnings. I haven't kept an exact record though, so let me say I simply feel strongly I lost overall.
Re, I know you wouldn't likely want to do this, but I'd love to see your picks into earnings from now on, so I could keep a record. Not saying you wouldn't come out ahead, but I'd be very interested what your long term results on holding into earnings actually would be.
