I replaced the Taurus with a new 2006 Escape 6 cylinder. Still going strong with 320k miles. I do only basic maintenance and fix the occasional failure like once an alternator and once those idiot tire pressure sensors. Drives great and has been very economical maintenance-wise. Also 0% financing way back when so great experience overall
