From Canada. There is no diet to lose weight.
Every diet will decrease your metabolism

The only thing that works is intermittent fasting
as it will increase your metabolism. Here is the basics
1. Each time you eat carbohydrate, your insulin peaks.
Insulin takes that energy and stores it in your fat cell.
2. When you do not eat, first your energy stored as glycogen ( chains
Of glycose) are used up for the first 9 to 12 hours. That is short term
3. Beyond 12 hours your body starts to use up your stored
Fat to give you energy assuming you still did not eat anything.
4. Then there is growth hormone that is only effective during deep sleep
To break down the fat.
5. Based on the above to prevent insulin release to a minimum
Eat natural fat such as avocados. In that way your insulin will not spike.
6. Next how do you take advantage of the above?
Here is a suggestion:
A. Say you have your dinner at 6:00 pm, do not eat anything until
12:00 pm the next day. This means you have fasted for 18 hours. First you
Have used up your glycogen and lost fat by growth hormone during deep sleep
Assuming you sleep at least 8 hours per night.
B. Reduce all carbohydrate and refined sugar from your diet. Your goal is
To make sure your basal level of insulin in your blood is at the lowest possible.
C. Replace all carbohydrate with citrus fruit such as oranges, mandarin and natural fat as stated above. Eat fish at least Three times a week.
